Installing support for web-based clients

Support for web-based clients can be installed on a central computer on the local network. You only need to install it once. This provides a simple web page that users on the network can open to start the client. They don't need to install the stand-alone client to control the player. This is useful when your system administrator doesn't allow you to install software, for example.

To install support for web-based clients, run the setup program and choose Support for web-based Jukebox clients.

Next, you'll have to enter a path to a folder where the web pages will be installed. This has to be a shared folder, so it is accessible to all users on the network. It can be a shared drive on the file server, or it can be a local drive, but you'll have to make sure it is shared. Contact your system administrator if you're unsure.

To start the web-based client, enter the path to the shared folder in your web browser with the file index.html. Create a favorite so you can return to this page easily.

Example:

You've installed the web pages to a shared drive on the file server in the following path:
X:\LAN Jukebox

To start the web-based client, point your web browser to:
X:\LAN Jukebox\index.html
